Proven Winners Landscape Roadshow - Co-Sponsored By Home Nursery

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Home Nursery co-sponsored our Proven Winners Landscape Roadshow in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Attended by 100+ Landscape Professionals, the event was held at the McMinnville Civic Center's Milner Recreation Center.
Home Nursery President and Tosovsky, welcomed attendees.
Proven Winners' Tom Ewing outlined the program for the day, provided a brief overview of Proven Winners, and outlined the CEU Credits approved for the program.
The Association of Landscape Professionals (APLD) approved the program for 5.25 CEU Credits; The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) approved the program for 6.0 LA CES Credits; and, The Tennessee Department of Agriculture approved the program for two (C03) Ornamental & Turf Pest Control, two (C12) Dealer, and two (c10) Demonstration, Research, and Regulatory CEU Credits.
Dr. Judson LeCompte, Product Development Assistant Manager with Spring Meadow Nursery, opened the presentations with "New Problem-Solving Shrubs for the Midwest Region" and shared his expertise on the landscape attributes of each variety.
Next, Walters Gardens Regional Account Manager, Kata Kress-Wallace presented "Amazing New Proven Winners Perennial Selections That Will Make Your Job Easier" and shared her extensive expertise in the use of perennials within the landscape.
After a morning break, John Antonelli, Regional Account Manager with Four Star Greenhouse, provided a lively review of Proven Winners newest Annual plant selections.
The morning concluded with our Keynote Presentation "Great Teams Aren't Created, They Are Cultivated" by Jeff McManus. Jeff is the Director of Landscape, Airport, and Golf Services at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), author , and member of the National Speakers Association.
During Jeff's presentation , lucky selected attendees received copies of Jeff's books - "Growing Weeders into Leaders, and "Cultivate"
Morrison, Tennessee's Hickory Creek BBQ served a continental breakfast and a fabulous BBQ lunch.
During the lunch break, attendees listened to Nashville's Milosi Landscape team of Joel Tomlin, Keenan Baird, and Proven Winners Certified Landscape Professional, Bill Petry present "Landscape Designing with Proven Winners". Joel, Keenan, and Bill shared many of their go-to Proven Winners plants and why they use them in their landscape projects.
Completing the day's educational presentations was Dr. Karla Addesso, Associate Professor with the Department of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, Otis L. Floyd Nursery Research Center. Dr. Addresso presented a very informative overview of "Pest and Disease Issues to be Aware of With New Plant Introductions".
Garret Bridges, with The Plant Company brought samples of the newly introduced Proven Winners Houseplant product line, leafjoy
The day concluded with tours of Home Nursery's impressive Tennessee and Hamby Farm locations.
